Overview
ASQ International is currently recruiting a Librarian to manage the school library, ensuring it’s a welcoming and informative hub for students. The suitable candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing library policies and procedures, organize and maintain library resources for easy access and to assist students and staff in finding and using library resources.

The ideal candidate
- Degree in English, Literature, Library systems or equivalent
- English certified to C1 (IELTS, Cambridge First or equivalent)
- Master Degree in Library & Information Sciences will be positively valued
- This role would suit a recent graduate in their first position as a school Librarian
- The resilience to work in a fast-paced international school environment
- To have a high degree of cultural sensitivity
- To be a strong ambassador for the school
- Willing to lead workshops to students on how to use printed and digital resources (primary and secondary)
- Good communicator (written and oral) in both English and Arabic
- Balanced approach towards learning: practical elements and theoretical understanding
- Organised and systematic approach to working in a school environment
- Understanding of the use of search engines to research safely
- Able to use various Librarian cataloguing systems
