Job Title: Social Worker

Reports to: Protection Officer
Duty Station: North and Akkar Governorates
Position Type: Full-time

Job Purpose:

The Social Worker will carry out activities and trainings in Intersos centers, working directly with vulnerable groups, including women, men, youth, and children. They will be responsible for implementing recreational, psychosocial, and educational activities that cater to different age groups and genders.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:

• Lead daily structured activities, including recreational, psychosocial, and non-formal education sessions, both in the center and outreach programs, following the weekly schedule.
• Facilitate peer-led focus groups, skill training, and awareness sessions with various target groups (children, youth, men, women, elderly, disabled, refugees, and the local community).
• Ensure participation from all segments of the target population, with special attention to vulnerable groups, such as refugees, women, and people with disabilities.
• Collaborate with the Protection Officer and team members to plan and design psychosocial support (PSS) activities, ensuring adherence to Intersos guidelines.
• Engage volunteers in socio-recreational activities and ensure proper documentation, such as attendance registers and inventory sheets.
• Report any difficulties encountered during activity implementation to supervisors and participate in meetings and training when requested.
• Provide daily reports and weekly updates to the Protection Officer on project activities.

Education Requirements:

• Degree: University degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
